On completion of this course your domestic helper will receive a certificate and will be able to master the following:

  • Do's and Don'ts of baking

  • Introductions to perfect cakes, biscuits, muffins, scones and cookies

  • Prepare and decorate cakes with icing

Week 1:

Baking Made Easy

  • Principles of Basic Baking

  • Light FOOLPROOF sponge cake with all the trimmings

  • Banana Bread - Always great for those unexpected guests

  • Ganache - A key preparation for any cake
  • Lemon Slice - The traditional Aussie favourite
  • Salmon and Vegetable Quiche - A delicious all-rounder

  • Basic Bread recipe

Week 2:

Scrumptious Scones, Munchable Muffins, Crunchy Cookies, Perfect Pizza, Simple Slices

  • Scones: Light, fluffy and traditional

  • Munchable Muffins (both savoury and sweet) - Chocolate chip, pumpkin, cheese & chive, apple & cinnamon

  • 100's and 1000's Cookies - The Fairy cookie version of Fairy bread

  • Double Choc Crunchy Cookies - A real favourite with kids

  • Golden Nut Crunch - Great for the lunchbox

  • Chocolate Balls - A great accompaniment with coffee

  • Pizzas - Homemade bases with yummy toppings

Week 3:

Chocolate Therapy

  • Fudgy, Chewy Brownies - It's all about the choice of chocolate!

  • Good Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake - Just like Granny use to make

  • Chocolate Mousse Cake - A dinner party favourite with a twist

  • Chocolate Caramel Slice - Perfect with coffee

Week 4:

Die Die Must Try Desserts

  • Lemon Meringue Pie - The perennial all time favourite
